Make Your Own Fly Traps, Flay Bait?
Consider the cost before you start.
A lot of people like to try to save money and make their own solutions. We are all in for this ideal - I mean why not? ! !
A few years ago we were living in sheep / cattle country and were inundated with flies. They were thick at certain times of the year. We bought all kinds of traps and 'solutions' and tried our own.
It quickly became obvious that the EFEKTO fly trap was by far the best. We couldn't find anything that was close in effectiveness or quality so switched our attention to the bait. We refused to pay for bait - flies are attracted to anything right?!
So we set up TEN Efekto fly traps. Over the next few months we tried everything from raw blood, meat, cooked food, dung, faeces, fish, offal - a huge variety and mixtures. Although these baits stunk and did attract flies - they were NOTHING in comparison to the Efekto fly bait.
The Efekto Fly bait seemed to somehow be irresistible to flies - even when there was fresh / raw / decaying meat right next to it.
So the quality of the trap, the low cost and hugely effective bait that can be purchased for it - led us to give up & just use the Efekto. Of course it is also safe - something which we can vouch for. One of my dogs got into a box and ate around 50 sachets of the bait with no ill effects except a scolding from me.
My advice? Use the Efekto Fly Trap.
Gardening with manure? Use our fly control & root growth pellets in conjunction with the Efekto for a all round solution.
